My PC hangs at Probing PCI hardware-- :(

Ok, so I decided to install Suse 10.0 again after clearing some partitions and making it my sole Linux distro since I am going to try the whole OSX thing on here.

But damnit if every thing I try ends in a hang right after my boot loader at "PCI: Probing PCI hardware (bus 00)"

It's only with SUSE 10 too. Mandriva, Kubuntu/Ubuntu, Slack and Fedora all work fine. I have had suse 9.3 on here before with no issues.

Here is what I have tried.

--Every boot parameter imaginable for the most part (feel free to throw some exotic ones my way...but i have done the usual).
--Net install vs ISO install
--10.1 Development install (network only)
--BIOS update
--Changed about every bios setting I can think of
--64-bit and 32-bit installs
--Different boot loaders
--Removed all hard disks but one and installed suse on only that one
--Prayed feverishly to most major Gods...

So yeah, any help would be great!!!

I am not sure if this information still applies, but you could try to boot with

hwprobe=-pci

to switch off hardware probing.
