Can someone please tell me how to get rid of two error messages.
They only come on at start up then when I click OK they go, so they are more of a nuisance than anything else.
SuSE 9.2 pro, KDE desktop.

And those error messages would be?
When are you seeing them? What do they say? Etc.
If you can post the text of the messages (plus, I guess, a description of any graphic that it displays), it'd be easier to help eliminate them. There's not much to go on in your description of the problem.

Those are strange messages.
Are these popping up automatically or when you launch a program from the desktop/panel? If it's happening while KDE is just starting up, it could be that something is attempting to start a program you were running in a previously saved session.
I'm not sure what that first message is all about. For the second one, I'd check the Konquerer settings and see what it's trying to use as your home page. It could have some crud in there and is squawking about that and that ought to be easy to fix.
These messages are coming up as soon as KDE is launched.
I checked Konquerors settings and in the URL was a ~ which I took out and on a reboot it was back again, as I said these are just a nuisance but I would like to get rid of them.
Problem solved I had to install kdebase3-extra through YAST and it automatically deleted the kdebase3 personnel (hope I got the right word for the package) . After the package was installed I rebooted the machine and login to kde, Now the error message is gone and finally the cd recorder dvd and floppy are showing up in my desktop.
