PDF display problem in SUSE9.3

My laptop is a wide screen one, the resolution of which is 1280*768.
I install SUSE9.3 in this laptop.

It can display any other things correctly, except display pdf file.

When I open a pdf file not only by acrobat but also by PSview and so on, the display of pdf is always compressed by the scale of the wide screen. Therefore, the pdf page is shorter and wider than normal display.

Could anyone tell me how to figure the problem out?

Thanks.

Go to View --> Fit Width.

Does it help anyway?

No, tried that before, but still same.

Do you mean the font is smaller? (maybe it is the problem with the PDF itself.)

Have you tried any other PDF?

It is not font smaller. In fact, it is changing in scale of width and height.

No, I have tried all different pdf files which should be dispalyed correctly, and in all different pdf reader(including acroread, PGviewer, and so on) they all are same problem.

BTW, the same problem also happens on .ps file.

Then have you tried switching between KDE and GNOME? or for instance any other WM?

Which one are you using?

Thanks, upstairs.

In fact, it is the problem of acroread. In the preference setting -> display, when I change the resolution from system to custom, ok!
