Parallels on SUSE 10.0 with WINXP as Guest

Anbody else tried this package on SUSE 10.0.
It seems to work INCREDIBLY well for me on SUSE 10.0 on an HP Pavilion DV 1000 Laptop. (Wireless Networking as well).

http://www.parallels.com

I've got a Windows XP Guest VM running on my SUSE 10.0 installation and it is really great being able to run Windows apps when I need them without having to dual boot.

My laptop isn't the most powerful processor on the planet ( it's a modest Intel Pentium 'M' @ 1.73 but the Windows Guest VM runs at almost Native speed.

A LOT cheaper than VMWARE as well. There's also a free trial period.

If you really need apps that rely on using the hardware directly it won't be for you but if you use Microsoft Apps like Ms Office, or apps like Photoshop, or where you have to logon to Corporate Lans it's a great alternative to the to the "Dual Boot" option which is usually inconvenient.

Cheers

-K

I tried it on both Linux and mac osx. Yes it works great and are so VMware-like in options and bugs that i think:

1- parallel belongs to vmware, and is a beta-test platform (for mac osx). Nothing is good as create (and control) your own rivals.

or

2- parallel developers are ancient vmware developers.

or

3- parallel developers are very good in reverse engineering.

Just a note to say that parallel is a little more CPU consuming and is a little slower than vmware.
