OpenSUSE Tumbleweed getting NO updates via Zypper??
I've had OpenSUSE Tumbleweed installed for about two weeks. I added the Packman and DVD repositories to install media codecs. However, when I try to update my system using either zypper dup or just zypper up, it simply tells me that there is 'Nothing to do' despite the fact that the versions of packages that I have installed are significantly behind the versions shown on software.opensuse.org. So, I haven't gotten any updates whatsoever since I installed my system, a possible security issue (plus, I want the latest features).
I'm thinking that my lack of updates could be related to having added the Packman repositories. See, right after installing openSUSE, I added these repositories then ran zypper dup to switch packages over to Packman. I've since tried disabling those repositories, but that didn't do anything to give me updates from the main openSUSE repositories.
This doesn't seem to be a very common problem because I searched around quite a bit and couldn't find anyone else who had the same problem or any solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Tumbleweed has been in an updates lull due to the combination of holidays and some upcoming major package version changes. Updates only show up on the mirrors in OSS and non-OSS repos almost exclusively, and only when a snapshot is released. The TW Update repo is only active when critical updates can't wait for a snapshot. Last snapshot was 20181224, so more than two weeks ago.

OK, thanks for clarifying that! I guess the basis of my concern was a misunderstanding of how rolling release distros such as TW work - I thought packages were rolled out individually ASAP, not as part of a larger snapshot. Now I know that I'm probably not having any issue, and I know more about how openSUSE works too!
Snapshot timings are unpredictable. I've seen as many as 5 in one week. Weeks with none are fairly unusual. I've also seen snapshots two days in a row where the second only has two packages changed.
