OpenSUSE.org goes live!
http://www.opensuse.org/
Granted, there's no OpenSUSE 10.0 beta to download (yet), but I'm really looking forward to it now that Novell decided to open up SUSE. It's a great move IMHO and I can only see good things come out of it. :) Since I'm a complete n00b to Linux, I have a question. Does anyone know if for instance SUSE is able to upgrade itself indefinitely? With that I mean, if I install SUSE 9.3 today, and 10.0 comes out in the next 3 months, will I be able to fully upgrade everything to that version or do I have to reinstall everything from scratch? Thanks all for your input. |
Suse upgrades - should be no problem
Hi -
I've never had any trouble with SuSE upgrades - including even from SuSE 8.2 directly to SuSE 9.3 (no kidding!) |

Hmm...it seems OpenSUSE.org is down again... :( but luckily, I managed to grab a screenshot of the website before it vanished...hehe :p Y'all can take a look at it here (sorry for the large image, but I have a Dell 2405FPW widescreen LCD). ;) |
