OpenSuse does not recognize my hard drive

I have Opensuse 10 beta 3 installed on my Sony VAIO 840G SATA and all is fine. When I attempted to install OSS 10 RC1 (fresh install), the installer did not recognize my hard drive - which is terribly odd since it is loading the same kernel modules as the beta 3, but I can't get anywhere. Any suggestions?

Problem solved

I installed the 64 bit version (the PC is a 2.8 Pentium D) and all went smoothly.
