opensuse cpu scaling ?

to how many cpu's or cores does opensuse scale to or work on?
I've seen it mentioned for Suse linux enterprise server (SLES) that version 11.x and 12 scales out to 8192. But i can't find any mention about the subject for opensuse.
If i have a high end server having 4 cpu's and each cpu has say 12 or 15 cores (up to 60 cores total) will opensuse install and run on it ?

When we configure a linux kernel for compilation there is a option of how much cores the kernel supports.

Perhaps you can see the config of running kernel from /proc/config.gz

Look for CONFIG_NR_CPUS=
