OpenSUSE 12.2 midnight commander from repository very old and not working good
 
I just installed openSUSE 12.2 on a x86_64 machine. I downloaded/installed midnight commander (MC). By using the repository I recognized that it will install MC 4.8.1 which is very very old (11 months). Besides that MC is not working good since FTP shell (link) is not working properly.

I downloaded from the internet the rpm file of MC 4.8.6 and installed it.
Problems solved.

However there is another minor thing with MC, .see another message of me, which I wil write after this msg
