opensuse 11 install fail monitor shutdown

I tried to install opensuse 11 .. after the kernel loads up , I receive a message saying my video mode is not defined , and that I should choose from the videomodes available (6 videomode). Whichever video mode I choose I get tge same result , the installation stops at one point when it says "please provide a config file" and then the monitor(Samsung Syncmaster 941N) shuts down. If I hit Ctrl+Alt+backspace ( the only combination that works ) monitor starts up again but it only shows me crap and then it shuts down again. Before the kernel load , if I change the video mode to vesa or something else I get the same result. I managed to start the installation in text mode but It just stoped at the point saying: "deploying images .. ".
My video card is nvidia fx5200. I googled this.. but got nothing ...
Does anyone know why it isn't working ?

I had a system with the same NVIDA card. I also had the same problem as u outlined. Net result was that the card went ka..put! I believe you may need a new video card but watch for power requirements. I believe my power supply on an older system was not strong enought to provide what the card wanted so over a long period of time a component overheated and burnt out. I don't believe the 5200 has the now lifetime warrenty since its an older card. You could move the card to another system to double check but video cards are becoming commodies price-wise. Hope this helps.
