opensuse 10.2 speedtouch usb adsl modem

I have recently upgraded suse 9.0 to opensuse 10.2.I use a speedtouch330 usb modem which worked fine with suse 9.0, using firmware from Steve Parker. I downloaded and installed same firmware in suse 10.2. Configuration seems to be successful, but then i get a message-mount /proc/bus/usb - /proc/bus/usb does not exist. Can anyone help. Thanks.
