OpenSuSE 10.0 Package Manager?
 
Does SuSE have a package management tool that works similar to yum or synaptic? YaST is fine for adding and removing the software that comes on the installation disks, but it doesn't seem to work outside of that.

Go through YaST to the install/remove packages. Check the package listing. You probably have apt4suse and synaptic on the installation disks. Install them if they are not now installed.
