open x11 and port 6000 for listening

Calling all SuSE gurus!

How do I get SuSE 9.2 to listen on port 6000.

I've modified the following files to no avail:

DISPLAYMANAGER_XSERVER_TCP_PORT_6000_OPEN="yes" <-- was "no" originally

:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X -br vt7 <-- had "-nolisten tcp"
:1 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X -br :1 vt8 <-- had "-nolisten tcp"
:2 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X -br :2 vt9 <-- had "-nolisten tcp"
:3 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X -br :3 vt10 <-- had "-nolisten tcp"
:4 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X -br :4 vt11 <-- had "-nolisten tcp"
:5 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X -br :5 vt12 <-- had "-nolisten tcp"

Is there anything else I need to do?
