Only KDE4 menu search accepts keyboard input

I've just installed openSUSE 11 but found that the only thing that seems to take keyboard input is the search box in the KDE menu. Everything else-the konsole, admin privelages dialogues don't do anything. Has anyone else seen this before?

If you mean by konsole the terminal and living KDE4 well I can give any command I like by using my keyboard.
And than back to kde4

odd, seems to have fixed itself after rebooting.
