Omit device from automounter?

Hey guys - I had a big hdd inside a machine (suse 10 pro) for downloading, but now it's in an enclosure connected via firewire. It has one vfat partition, around 250gb, and shows as /dev/sda1. This drive is automounted by subfs to /media/iee1394disk , and I don't have a problem about the mount point, just what options it uses. I added a line in ftab like
Code:
/dev/sda1 /media/1394disk vfat auto,uid=tux,gid=users,umask=0027 0 0
Those are the options I want - tux has read/write, users have read/exec and nobody else has anything.

When I rebooted the computer suse decided to overlook my fstab entry and give it the stock automounter settings - from mtab

Code:
# mount
/dev/sda1 on /media/ieee1394disk type subfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,fs=floppyfs,procuid,utf8=true)
right - so how do I override these settings, specify my own, or omit this device from the subfs system?

Thanks in advance - Bill

Solved - I submitted to subfs's rule and changed the line in fstab to type 'subfs' then added 'fs=vfat' in the parameters. Since it's mounted WITH subfs, it doesn't get mounted twice, or not at all, etc..
