OCR using xsane

Can not get a text that I have scaned using xsane to be able to OCR copy. I have scaned it and then when I click on file / OCR-save as text, I get a error pop-up saying that "failed to excute ocr command: gocr, no such file or directory". thanks for any help

You need to install the gocr program that it uses to do the actual ocr reading.

Thanks, but where do you find the program for gocr for Suse 10.0?

It should be on the Suse disks - best via Yast => Software Management.

hi,
I used apt-get install gocr to install it. Works fine on SuSE 10.1.
