nvidia and thunderbird

1 - I've a laptop HP dv6179ea with a nVidia GeForce 7400. I've installed nvidia packages for Suse, but i can't start Gnome. Does anyone have a problem with that?

2 - For anyone who has an laptop like mine, can anyone tell me what is the monitor model? Suse configured my monitor has SEC Samsung LCD Monitor. I don't know if the configuration is one of the reason can't put nvidia packages run correctly.

3 - Did anyone had problems in starting thunderbird? The message that i receive is:
"Thunderbird is already running, but it's not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Thunderbird process, or restart your system."

I don't any thunderbird process when i run the thunderbird application.

Thanks
