Novell Pricing list

hi there,

i've just been to the novell website looking for some pricing and i'm a little lost ... i've got to admit it i'm not that used to the financial side of things. but i'm looking at setting up a small business about 10 computers and a server.

now my experience is with windows/linux more so than novell so i'll explain what i want in those terms.

1) domain controller/NIS server
10) windows XP/linux boxes

so i was just trying to get a rough idea of a price for one server and 10 Novell Linux Desktops.

hi there, can someone just tell me this because it seams no one really knows my last question.

1) what is the novell version of the windows domain controller/ linux NIS server?

i see open enterprise server/ZENworks and a hole bunch of others.

2) is the NLD really only $15US?

3) also i see i can download an evaluation version of the NLD and it says that after a certain period of time i can't obtain updates or have technical support. does that mean i'm still allow to use the desktop, or does it do something like windows XP and stops you from login in.

Here is a price list for SLES ( SuSE Linux Enterprise Server) That will act as your Domain Controler, NIS, samba, LDAP, APACHE etc. server. From what you describe I would imagine you just need the licenced copy for $349.00

I believe the $15.00 thats listed for NLD is for a licence to add it to an extra computer for a boxed copy it is $50.00

I would say if you are really serious about it contact Novell, let them know the setup you need and have them get you a detailed price quote.
