I run the automation portion of our Library here in FL, we were thinking of moving to the Novel Linux Desktop, I know that its not yet as popular as SUSE, but its cheaper, has longer Development cycles (so we'er not up grading, every six months) comes with phone support, and saves us money, everything is great, but I need apps, like Java and Flash, stuff, like that, anyone know, where I can dowload and install these from?
Novell Linux Desktop is just a desktop environment using SuSE isn't it? So the normal Linux apps will work on it. DVD players, your example, are not proprietory AFAIK ... look at mplayer for eg.
