No sound in OpenSUSE 10.2

Hi,

I'm running on an OpenSUSE 10.2 box right now. There is a sound issue.

lspci -v gives:

Code:
00:05.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio (rev a2)
Subsystem: EPoX Computer Co., Ltd. Unknown device 102a
Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B-
        Status: Cap+ 66MHz+ UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR-
        Latency: 0 (500ns min, 1250ns max)
Interrupt: pin B routed to IRQ 5
        Region 0: Memory at 50000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2
                Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot+,D3cold+)
                Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME-
        Capabilities: [50] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask+ 64bit+ Queue=0/0 Enable-
                Address: 0000000000000000 Data: 0000
                Masking: 00000000 Pending: 00000000
        Capabilities: [6c] HyperTransport: MSI Mapping
The box runs an EPoX AF550G-Pro motherboard with a nForce5 chipset. 'alsaconf' is unable to locate any soundcards of any sort. When attempting to run 'amixer' the following happens:

amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such device

I've tried loading certain modules like snd-intel8x0 and snd-hda-intel and using sound with no luck.

Help.

Add your user to the Audio group. I thought my Audigy wasn't working but it was just a matter of permissions on the device. That should do the trick if the hardware is actually working but just not producing any sound.
