Fortunately I think Novell has finally gotten the idea that even the basic users have a power user to turn to when they need help and power users want to be able to compile. So with SuSE 9.2 there no longer is a personal version.
Try looking at your local SuSE mirror to find the appropriate RPMs and install them through YaST.

I have the same problem. No make command and I needed it.
I've installed an Compaq Presario 2100 with first fedora 3 core. After this big distro of 3 CD's I've installed Suse's 9.1 personal edition. THe last one detected everything standard on that Presario computer, except the PCMCIA card.
The Card is a not supported one (Siemens Santis PC CARD for wireless connection), but with the Atmel PCMCIA drivers from the Source Forge Project, it should work.
Only, I've got no make command and I'm new on the linux platform.
So can somebody tell were I can download (or which one) a RPM with the make commando.
Now I have to say that Suse 9.1 distro is so small, it worked quicker then the fedora core. It's the quick response how fast Crossover Office opens Word (Office 2000 premimium) on that platform. Even quicker then Open Office.
Really the best solution against Spy / Spam-ware ....
Can somebody help with that make commando ...
Thanks a lot
