No CDROMS

Hello, I just installed SUSE 10.0 pro and I do not have a icon in /media for a cdrom or dvd. I do show an icon for the floppy. My fstab shows...

/dev/hda2 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/hda1 swap swap defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
/dev/dvd /media/ subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/cdrecorder /media/ subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs noauto,fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
none /subdomain subdomainfs noauto 0 0

I try the yast2 hardware add but it does not show the symlink. It shows..

LITEON DVD-ROM LTD163D /dev/sr0 /dev/ /media/
UJDA720 DVD/CDRW /dev/hdc /dev/ /media/

Anyone whats up?

Thanks

"I just installed SUSE 10.0 pro and I do not have a icon in /media for a cdrom or dvd."

You can create a desktop icon for a CD or DVD by right clicking on an empty spot on your desktop. Then click on Create New -> Link to Device -> (the device type you want to create). Then fill in the form to create the device link.

SUSE will create those symbols as soon as you insert a medium.
