Newbie OpenSuSE questions

Hello,

Just put RC1 on my laptop and I think its great. It seems very well put together and nicely polished.

a few questions:

1) When the official version of OpenSuSE is released (October?) should I expect to need to do a fresh installation? Can I just update online or with the CDs?

2) If I want to use avantgo for my treo what do I use. In the past I've used an MAL plugin on J-pilot but that does not seem to be an option in OpenSuSE.

3) I like the Gnome desktop but its a bit slow and I was wondering how/if I can get fluxbox.

4) I installed gnucash, but it won't open. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Happy to be here!

I just started SuSE 9.3 yesterday and I'm loving it so far.

The only thing I can suggest is 4). Run GNUCash in the console and it'll output errors. YOu can then copy/paste errors here and we'll see if we can help. Or, you can post it in the LInux-Software section since it may be a general software issue. You get more responses there.
