its is showing 2 Architectures that is x84 and x86-64. i am confused which cd images i have to download.my system configaration is
Now i am doing a project based on java, sql .In Suse 10.1 can i do this project . i want to know whether it had java, sql installed in it defaultly. or else tell me where can i download these.
Java would normally be installed in a default installatio of SUSE. Mysql would not be part of a default install. You can add mysql using various methods. Go to YAST and then select Software Management or whatever appears to be a similar option (I am using SLED 10 so my menu might be slightly different). Or, you can go to Applications, System, Configuration and then click Install Software.
If you have a few extra dollars to spare, you might want to purchase one of several excellant books on SUSE that are available at many bookstores. I just picked up SUSE Linux by O'Reilly, which has info on version 10.1. There also is SUSE Bible that has info on version 10, which is close to what you have.
