networking suse 9.2 and windows

I have installed suse 9.2 and the server is windows 2k. I have successfully configured the network and i am able to browse internet from my machine from the network connection. The only problem is that i am unable to see the windows network. It says unable to find any workgroup.

This tutorial will give you a good grounding on what files need to be edited and how.

Samba is your friend ;-)

In 9.3 there is a "workplace" button (Arbeitsplatz in german), which browses your network using most protocols (including samba).

Or you use LinNeighbourhood

Or - learn it from the scratch by configuring your samba (f.e. in yast samba_client).
