Network Installation : FTP Suse 10.2
 

hi i m completely newbie to linux
i have downloaded the openSUSE-10.2-GM-i386-mini (boot iso from SUSE site).
i burnt it on cd and boot it and just went thru the installation process and i choose the network and then ftp and i gave my windows FTP server Address whr all my 5 ISOs are already downloaded .

my prob is i put it all iso in correct directory and even i typed it correctly still in the end it sayd file not found . i m just confused in directory stuff . it is asking for /booot/i386/root

so is thr any step by step guide to do this ?

Hi..

Some of settings in your windows box ftp server may be incorrect, to check this boot a live cd from the box where you want to install Suse and try to reach the files in ftp server.
