Need to stop automatic login but no visible option in Yast

Hi!

I'm new to Linux.
I have a Suse Linux 10.0 installation.
I need to disable automatic login but I didn't found any option in Yast (at least not an immediate one). Could anyone help me, please?

Thanks.

Radu

Have a look at the KDE control center (not YaST)-> System Administration -> Login Manager -> Convenience

You should have removed the buttons "Automatoc login" during setup.

Sorry guys but these posts whilst technically correct don't actually help the original poster.

What you *Should have done* doesn't answer the question --I've got a problem NOW so how do I fix it.

It's a bit like losing your way in Ireland ( Love the country so sorry to any Irish guys reading this) when you are in Dublin and asking the way to Cork.
.
The answer usually given is If I'm going to Cork I wouldn't be starting from here.

Anyway cutting to the chase --get into RUN LEVEL Editor and set to level 3.

That way you'll get a console login screen and to get a GUI you'll after login have to type START X.

Cheers

-K

abisko00 did answer in the present tense.it's just a matter of clicking the administrator mode button and supplying the root password to activate the field.
another way to log into the root account is to use a boot option of "3" (the same option for running the nvidia installer),logging in as root, then issuing "startx".

disabling automatic login

In SUSE 10 Gnome session ---
For disabling the automatic login, perform the following..
(1) Go to YAST control center, Security and Users, User Management.
(2) Select the user name.
(3) Select Expert Options.
(4) Go to login Settings.
(5) Here you find the automatic login checkbox.
(6) Disable it.
