Need help Migrating Data Between HD's involving Different OS's

Hi Guys,
I have a project here where I would like to move data between HD's. and install an OS if possible.

Overview
On my primary or Master HD (20GB) sits a copy of WIN XP thats been corrupted & zapped by a virus etc..

On the secondary drive (6GB) sits a copy of SuSE Linux 9.1 personal.
Also in the mix are Six SLES 9 CDs.
---

My Mission:
1) Essentially I want to "upgrade" my linux OS from SuSE personal to SLES 9 & use SLES 9 as my systems primary OS.
I also want this OS located on the larger primary drive (which currently houses windows).
I also need to keep some of the data currently located in the Suse 9.1 file system. (housed on the secondary drive)
Work related spreadsheets and all important thunderbird emails etc.

2) Delete my WIN XP install from the primary drive & reinstall on the secondary drive, because I need to keep a functional copy of windows available for work purposes.

The thing is I do not know where to start.
Can someone help me out with some direction? A How to etc....?
Thanks in advance.

Read this link to figure out what files you need to save from your XP drive so you don't have to fight Microsoft on reactivation.

Then wipe your XP drive (20GB) once you've gotten everything off that drive you want.

Then build your new SLES on the first drive (20GB). Do not connect the 6GB drive yet. After your new installation is complete, then you can install and mount the 6GB drive. Save the files on your 20GB drive from the 6GB drive.

Then install XP on the 6GB drive (20GB drive removed).

Now you can put the 20GB drive back into the computer as the slave drive. Modify the boot.ini file for XP so you can boot Linux.

Thanks for your help.
In terms of erasing my windows partition. Should I proceed with using the cfdisk command under linux?
