Need help

Alright, I've been using my Suse9.3 for awhile, and some other distros, but I never got around like I did in Win. Can someone help me in telling me what some of the folders are? Like in the /usr/ directory, or the / directory? And what they're for, and how essential they are, and also where my program files and such are.

PS: I really like the sound you get when you boot the system and logon. Does anyone know where the file is?

so what you want is info about the unix file structure. For a small introduction read this:
http://www.linuxcommand.org/lts0040.php

My personal advice is to move to a less automated distro like slackware or gentoo if you want to learn how things actually work.

ALSO, please next time choose a more relevant subject. "Need help" does not help at all.

^Thanks alot, that page is pretty useful. And I'll see about Slack/Gentoo. I guess you're right about 'Need Help' not being a good topic title either.

PS: I found the .ogg files.
