Ndiswrapper ok but Yast wont show card...

hey all -- Im a noob and need some help ...

I removed/installed currect ndiswrapper without problems, wrapped a win x64 driver with my 64bit suse 9.3. ndiswrapper -l shows driver is loaded and hardware is present.

In yast I can see the card in the hardware section but the card is not located under the network devices section ... This makes it difficult for me to setup my card to work on my net (wpa-psk, an unbroadcasted ssid). I have tried manually with some of the comands I have seen and have had no luck at all. I cant find a good writeup on how to configure the card without yast esspecally the WPA ...

Id rather just use Yast -- (im a win noob) -- any ideas why its not comming up (I have tried like 5 drivers and all are the same). And ideas how to get it up?

If all else fails I can do it in Konsole -- anyone know where I can get a writeup on it?

Are you really sure that ndiswrapper is OK? There are two parts to ndiswrapper - the first is the command part that you use with the ndiswrapper -l command. The second is a kernel module. You can check that it is loaded by the lsmod command. If it is not present, you will need to issue a modprobe ndiswrapper command. At that point, it should show up in the YaST network devices list.

My experience with configuring WPA-PSK with YaST was not all that good. For WPA, you will also need wpa_supplicant and configure it. See
