mythtv w/ pvr-250

Hi all,
I am wanting to set up a Mythbox and was wanting to know if Suse was the right choice. I have a hauppauge PVR-250 and was wanting to try Suse 10.2, but can't seem to find a guide on using the two combined. If anyone has any suggestions or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Even if I have to choose another distro, that would be ok too.

TIA

There are great precompiled myth binaries for Suse in the Packman repo, so I consider it a great choice. That's just a subjective opinion, tho. Others may suggest a lighter-weight distro (depending on your hardware, I suppose), and I couldn't argue with them.

I can tell you that Suse is the only distro that detected my pvr-150 out of the box with almost zero headaches. Just watch out for the firmware issue.

J

found these for you:

They should make life easier. They even address the aforementioned firmware issue.

Thanks litlmary,
I've been to the first link previously and the PVR-250 section is blank. The second link doesn't mention the PVR-250 either, but I may be able to get it to work with those instructions. I was just wanting to give Suse another shot, but will do any just to get Myth running. Thanks again.
