My splash screen vanished...(SuSE 10.1)
 
Hey,

My Bootsplash (not the KDE Splash) screen mysteriously disappeared. I checked /etc/sysconfig and under System/Boot splash is set to "Yes", Theme is Set to "SuSE" in /etc/bootsplash/themes, which IS there. So any idea what else could have made my splash screen disappear? Thanks!

The config has changed somewhere.

This command line in console will show you every instance of the word 'bootsplash' in /etc. Check the files it turns up to see if one of them turns bootsplash off.

find /etc -name '*.*' -type f | xargs grep 'bootsplash'
