Multiple desktops

Hello,
I'm running SuSE 9.2 and KDE 3.3.0. My problem is "Multiple desktops". I'm changed "Multiple desktops" to 6 and did "Apply". Everything is okay unless I reboot, then I have again only 2 desktops. And same thing happens everytime I reboot SuSE. Is there a way to fix this? I don't want to change the number of desktops to 6, everytime I'll boot the SuSE. Have a nice day everyone.

I put "[Desktops]" and next line "Number=6" to file /home/rogk/.kde/share/config/kwinrc and now I have 6 desktops.
