Hi all, i think i have some very different probs with dependency conflicts, here is a list of them.The install method worked well untill the dependency conflicts turned up. I am very much a newbie, but will not give up. Appreciate any help.
Conflict list:
ibdv 0.104-0.pm.4 conflict
libgcc not available
libgif.so.4 not available
liblzo.so.1 not available
libstdc++ not available
MPlayer 1.0pre6a-pm.2 conflict
xorg-x11-libs not available
What is your installation method? Do you try to install the packman packages or to compile the sources? From the error messages I would say that you need to install a lot of devel packages and be sure to use the correct versions (only packages for SUSE 9.2).
Yep! I guess most of them are available from original SUSE sources, but if you miss some, try out the packman server. Maybe some packages are named differently from the libraries. Try to tick the 'provides' option in the Yast search tab.

It seems there is no Xvideo support for your video card available.
Run 'xvinfo' to verify its Xv support and read DOCS/HTML/en/video.html#xv!
See 'mplayer -vo help' for other (non-xv) video out drivers. Try -vo x11
