Maybe you should install a skin ?!

Quote:
[skin] file ( /usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin/default/skin ) not found.
Skin not found (default).
BTW: sorry acidjuice, I didn't see that you already posted the packman instructions, but neither did one_ro

of course... a slap on my forehead
)

I had to run gmplayer directly from /usr/bin, though.
It seems that the symbolic link (for the gmplayer command from a terminal) does not work.

All the best,
Adrian

What is your installation method? Do you try to install the packman packages or to compile the sources? From the error messages I would say that you need to install a lot of devel packages and be sure to use the correct versions (only packages for SUSE 9.2).

Yep! I guess most of them are available from original SUSE sources, but if you miss some, try out the packman server. Maybe some packages are named differently from the libraries. Try to tick the 'provides' option in the Yast search tab.

The mplayer output already has ... Specifically, these lines:

Quote:
It seems there is no Xvideo support for your video card available.
Run 'xvinfo' to verify its Xv support and read DOCS/HTML/en/video.html#xv!
See 'mplayer -vo help' for other (non-xv) video out drivers. Try -vo x11
Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.
