Question Mounting an Iriver T30 MP3 player on Suse 10.0

I am really new to Suse 10.0. I want to mount my Iriver_T30 MP3 player, onto my desk top, so that Amorack can down load MP3's onto the player.

I have some advice to change the fstab file to: /dev/sda1 /mnt/iriver_T30 auto defaults, users, noauto 0 0

I rebooted my machine to accept the change.

Now when I try to mount the device on the root account an error occurs stating:

mntent: warning: no find new line at the end of /etc/fstab.

Please help me to set up my Iriver so the error doesn't occur and amorack can down load to it.

Any suggestions very appreciated.

Newbiest user.

i assume that your iriver is iva usb

don't use fstab as you will not connect the device to the computer every time when you boot your linux box.

your best shot is to allow suse linux 10.0 mount it for you antomatically whenever your attach the device. this is the default behavior.

if not, you can do (use sudo better) the following
# mkdir /media/iriver
# mount /dev/sda1 /media/iriver

another note, there is no need to reboot the machine to accept the change. this isn't windows! (and windows xp doesn't do that quite often any more)
