Unhappy More like: Sound Blaster Dead!

Hi everyone.
I'm brand-new to linux, having just installed SUSE 9.1 Personal yesterday, and I'm having a problem with my Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 card. When i configure it in the control center it tells me "The Kernel module snd-emu10k1 for sound support could not be loaded. This can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters".
I have tried the sound card in two different PCI slots, and it works fine in both slots under Windows XP SP1 (I'm dual booting).
Can anyone help me get my sound working?
