Question modues not running


hi,
i am new to linux,plz help......
i am having suse 10.0.
i hav compiled kernel 2.6.26 on it.
i am trying to run modules on it but unable to do that.
'make' command is not creating .o file.
command 'make' gives result as


#make

make -C/lib/modules/2.6.26/build M=/usr/src modules
make[1] :Entering directory '/usr/src/linux-2.6.26'
Building modules ,stage 2
MODPOST 0 modules
make[1]: leaving directory '/usr/src/liux-2.6.26'

what does MODPOST 0 modules means?????
can anybody help?????

If you configured your kernel to use modules, then if you already ran 'make' to build the kernel, then shouldn't you be just executing 'cd /usr/src/linux-2.6.26 && make modules' instead?
