modprobe problem - SuSE 10.1

I am trying to install a wireless card with an atheros chipset (net5211.inf driver). ndiswrapper shows that it is installed, driver installed & hardware present

ndiswrapper -m gives no output (im assuming this means it works)

then i run modprobe ndiswrapper and it says FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found.

What am i doing wrong?

reading around, it seems as though i might have to recompile the kernel... does this sound correct?

thanks for the help in advance

Have you looked into using MadWifi instead of ndiswrapper?

I have an Atheros chipset on my PCI wireless card and ndiswrapper was giving me all kinds of trouble. I tried MadWifi and it worked on the first try.
