Modifying the Boot Options and the mbr file
 

When Suse Linux 9.3 starts, the boot options are:

Windows XP Professional (default)
SUSE LINUX 9.3
SUSE LINUX 9.3 (XEN)
Floppy
SUSE LINUX 9.3 (Failsafe)

Instead of Floppy I would like to have the option DVD CD ROM, but I don't know how this can be done through the KDE Menu / System / YaST Modules.

If I load Windows XP Professional the following screen appears:

Please select the operating system to start:

Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Microsoft Windows Recovery Console

Is there any way of removing this second screen?

That's more of a windows question. Yes, make windows show your hidden files, find boot.ini and remove the second one.

Not sure about 9.3 as I didn't use it that much, but here's where it's located in 10. Hopefully it can be of some help.

Yast > System > Boot Loader

Erm, wrong solution. What happens is that the windoes bootloader shows up after windoes is selected from the grub.

Yes. Start Windows xp, login. Go to start and execute and enter "msconfig".

I was answering the first part of the post, where sfzab says they want to change the Floppy option on the Linux bootloader to instead show DVD CD ROM.
