Go to
http://linmodems.org/ and see if the scanModem tool can figure out if you have a supported chipset. Note that I'm not very optimistic that this modem will work in linux. It's probably a software modem that only has windows drivers. You're usually better off spending the $15 US on an external serial modem (a hardware modem). These have onboard chips that do all the work and you just have to plug them into the serial port. Since they use standard serial commands, any linux (or OS for that matter) should work flawlessly.
