Mesa problems after Xorg update
 

I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop with an ATI Radeon 7500C graphics card. I am using the free radeon drivers. After I updated my Xorg and Mesa (had to because of dependency problems) on my openSUSE 10.2 system, some of my 3D apps are garbled. For example, in Quake III, the Quake III logo doesn't display, but the menu options do. Blender's interface is entirely garbled, practically unusable, and the character heads in Warcraft III (the small profiles in the info bar at the bottom) don't display at all. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I think my problem could've been related to a previous botched install of official ATI drivers. Is there a guide so I can check whether I have uninstalled the driver cleanly and make sure that Mesa is not being overridden by some ATI driver parts? Please help!!
