Is there a decent media player for linux that does everything windows media player does? I need it to put all my music into a library (Like WMP) and I need it to be able to play atleast mp3's and wma's. Video would be nice but I could use a seperate program for that.
The best one I've found so far is Zinf, but that doesn't have wma support. I tried XMMS, but that doesn't have the media library-type feature, so are there any others?
Thanks for the replies but, sorry if I didn't say clearly in the first post, it's a audio player, not a video player that I'm looking for. I'm not bothered about playing videos in linux, all I want to do is have an audio player that will play wma's and mp3's and put them into some sort of a library. If there was a way to make Zinf play wma's, that would be exactly what I want.
They do if you install the appropriate codecs (just like you would do on windoze). Go to mplayer's website and download the codecs pack, extract it and then copy the codecs to /usr/lib/win32.

Ok, thanks. I just copied the files into my usr/lib/win32 folder, but zinf, amarok and xine-ui still won't play wma files. xine-ui says that it doesn't recognise the file format.
Edit: MPlayer can now play wma's, but all the other apps can't.

Xine should play wma if the codecs are installed. Maybe you need to reconfigure xine to recognise your new codecs. Amarok has to be configured to use the xine engine if you want to play wma. If you are using Suses version of Xine, you may need to uninstall everything to do with xine and reinstall using the packages from packman. I use Kaffeine as a frontend to xine-libs because I don't think xine-ui looks that great.
Ah, I was using the SuSE version of Xine. I've removed that now though. I'll install the packages from packman and I'll post what happens. Thanks for your help.
Update:
I installed the packages, then reinstalled kaffiene and zinf. Zinf still doesn't play wma's, but Kaffiene does. Unfortunatly Kaffiene won't play all my music at once (in a playlist) because I have too much and it crashes out If only I could get Zinf to like wma files

Woah..., I think we're making this a bit to complicated (for suse)
If you want to play all your multimedia files just install the w32codec pack and libdvdcss for suse 9.2 (search on google for it, go to RPM Pbone, or Packman, to get it). Those codecs will work with everything xine related (Kaffine, etc...), VLC, Notuan, and most other players.
PS: I'm not 100% sure, from experince, how well the WMA codec in the w32 codec pack works, but I have had (very) little problems playing any media content I've downloaded off the net.
