Make taskbar go away but leave icons

Hi all, stupid question but I cant find a way to do it. I've been looking at new kde themes and noticed that some people don't have the taskbar, they just have the icons for it instead if you get what I mean. For example this theme...

How do you do this? I've tried making the colour of the taskbar the same colour as the desktop and it looks the same but I'm sure there is a better way of doing it. Thanks.

Enable transparency in the panel settings, then set the tint to minimum.
