Looking for file that holds the modules to be compiled with mkinitrd
Hi All,
I am sure this has come up before and if anyone knows a thread they can direct me to I would appreciate it. We are running SLES 10.3, I am running Novell's support advisor and it is reporting some old hardware that is failing on bootup, one being a QLogic card and another being flex net network adapter. I was looking around for where the file or directory is that holds the list of modules to be loaded when compiling the kernel but SLES does not seem to match other Linux distro's, at least from the other posts I read for where to find these. Any help? Thanks |

Thanks TBone. Never asked Novell Support, you have to pay for the incidents so I try and not use them for things that are not critical.
Sorry for question, didn't even thing to do a man page on mkinitrd. I guess it is Murphy's law, when ever I do a man page on a command it is not in the man pages, then when I don't the answer is right there. Thanks |

No problem about the question...I had to go hunting around the first time too. Got old booting from CD, so I could load the RAID driver, so I could then CONTINUE the boot, which is how *I* learned. :) |
