local ntfs mounts ok in Yast, not via konsole
Dual boot xp and 10.2
Was trying to mount a local (same machine) ntfs partition so's to copy some files. Using the 'standard' mount command (as root) (and after having made the directory) Quote:
However, the folder itself would be locked. :| Mounting it in yast/partitioner, and it would mount fine at boot. Course, that meant I had to reboot. Am thinking its a permission issue, though using the proper command, leaves me at a loss. /edit I notice also that when umount is used, the mount still shows up under myComputer Disk Information, even though the partition is no longer mounted and the directory mount point no longer exists. After running 10 for 1 1/2 years, and 10.2 for 2 weeks, I'm asking myself why I just didn't install 10 on my desktop as well. grr |
