linux on sata drive

im building a new pc that will have a sata drive. i know the mother board, graphics card etc will run linux as i ran it with basic ide h/drives
but how easy will it be with sata?
im wanting a triple boot
160g h/d split as follows
1, 60g windows xp pro
2, 60g suse 10.2
3, 40g xandros desktop home premium 4

any info appreciated guys

Latest version of both suse & Xandros both have sata support. Just a normal installation would suffice.

I have sata Hard disk & am using ubuntu edgy eft & had no problems with installation or post installation.
