Kopete does not load the Yahoo account properly

It seems Kopete does not load my Yahoo account. I checked the password countless times, it is correct. Is the Yahoo protocol a bit quirky or something? MSN is working BTW...

I am trying to get GAIM, but apparently, I do not have "permission" to run the "autopackage". Check this thread.

you should definetely use gaim. With gaim i use both yim and msn at home. You just need to be root to install it if it isnt installed yet. If you are root try using apt or yum or any other rpm manager depending on your distro. Good luck. Default superuser is "root". I dont know about the password but try it blank...
