Kmix volume level can not be fixed

Hi, I have a problem with kmix volume level. After some updates/upgrades (i think), I am experiencing a problem with the volume level. well I have to say that the volume can be set as desired when I am in the system. After rebooting the computer, the volume is on Maximum. I try to set it up through Yast (as root) but all in vain. Every time I restart The comp I have to switch off the speakers. Any idea how to fix it???

If i remember correctly, you go into Configure Desktop, and then to sound and multimedia, and somewhere there you can set the preferred default volume setting. It should be fairly easy, unless you don't have the correct sound driver, and every time you shut the computer off, and restart it, the system installs its on driver with absolute new setting, and new volume level, meaning all of your previous sound configurations would be changed.
