KInternet LCP Timeout on SUSE 9.3 with AirPrime PCMCIA Card

hello, i am experiencing a rather annoying issue... i use a sierra wireless (verizon broadband card, model 5220)... i am able to use pppd and kinternet to connect, however, i am receiving LCP timeout messages after a couple of minutes when using kinternet... manually launching pppd using the second file below does not timeout (at least not yet)... i'm fairly certain that these two lines

lcp-echo-failure 4
lcp-echo-interval 65535

are responsible for maintaining the connection when using pppd... how would i go about adding the same values to the provider0 file?

thanks for your time!

I have upgrade to SuSE 9.3 Pro and I am having problems connecting to my ISP via Kinternet, wvdail and ppp. I have used Yast2 to setup Modem and MTA but when I try to connect I get LCP timeout sending Config-Requests thus connection terminated.

Has anyone a idea on howto to fix it.
