i boot my computer, i see the suse login screen (kdm i think, not sure...)
my keyboard is standard
why i can't go in console mode when the suse login screen are there?
i need to login, kde start... and after when i do: ctrl-alt f1, f2.... i'm able to go in console mode... but when i see kdm screen ctrl-alt f1 have not effect...
how to correct that ? i use suse 9.2 and kde 3.3.2

I have look over your problem for about 2 days and had a thought it might be either the inittab or possible the kdmrc file. In my inittab file I do not have the --noclear part. I don't think that is the problem but might be since Ctrl-Alt-F7 is attached to F1. I don't think it would be in kdmrc though. There are a few config files under /usr/X11 that might have the issue. I myself can goto tty1 at anytime before or after KDE login or logout.

I use a mostly FC3 system. But it does have pieces from other distro to tweak it to top performance. I some stuff from suse 9.1 in it. Stil no other ideas. Might try over at http://slforums.typo3-factory.net/index.php for help.
